At Evolve Demolition, we have a decade-long track record of safely and correctly removing asbestos, prioritising compliance with the SafeWork NSW Code of Practice under Section 274 of the Work Health and Safety Act (the WHS Act) and the WHS Regulations. For projects exceeding 10 square metres, we engage formally with an asbestos removal licence holder.
Before commencing any work, we meticulously identify the type and quantity of asbestos—whether friable or non-friable—to generate a comprehensive asbestos removal control plan readily available on-site during operations. We identify and address any hazards, erect appropriate signage and barricades, and notify neighbouring properties and on-site workers in advance. Air-monitoring machines are employed when necessary. Our dedicated workers, clad in specially designed disposable PPE, ensure the safe removal of asbestos-contaminated surfaces. Throughout the process, surfaces are regularly hosed down to prevent dust particles from becoming airborne.
Each removed piece is double-bagged in 200UM builder’s film and securely taped, then immediately transported to our trucks for correct disposal at authorised waste facilities such as Suez Recycling Centres and Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre. Following completion, a secondary licensed asbestos remover provides a clearance certificate, as required by law.
